Sri Lanka announces Uva quality season to the world

A wide range of seasonal quality Uva teas were on offer at this week’s Colombo Tea Auction and a cross-section of grades achieved premium levels of price, Asia Siyaka Commodities PLC said. 

It said Ceylon Tea is about a unique micro climate, seasonal variation, 150-year-old Artisanal tradition, unique sustainability framework and highest level of value addition enabled by marketing expertise.

In recent months, in the midst of a national economic crisis the resilience of the industry has emerged as a key factor. Despite numerous challenges the entire value chain continues to deliver on Sri Lanka promise to the world.
