Queensberry Estate establishes all-time record price

Queensberry Estate situated in the Dimbula planting district, achieved an all-time record price of Rs. 2,300 per kg for a BOPSP grade in the Western High Grown category at the weekly online tea auctions held on 11/12 July 2022.

This estate is situated at an elevation of 1,300 metres above sea level and has maintained a consistent standard over the years with ISO 22000:2018 and Rainforest Alliance certification for manufacturing high-quality orthodox leafy tea in the respective region. Queensberry Estate is managed by Kahawatte Plantation PLC under the stewardship of Director Plantations Chaminda Gunarathna and Estate Manager Prageeth Wanigasekera.
