Panilkanda Tea Factory equals BOP record

At the Colombo Tea Auction held on 12 and 13 May, Panilkanda Tea Factory, Deniyaya sold at a price of Rs. 2,400 per kg for the BOP grade, equalling the existing record for this grade. This tea was purchased by Akbar Brothers Ltd and marketed by Asia Siyaka Commodities PLC.

New Panilkanda teas are manufactured at New Saman Group Ltd. This company is chaired by E.P. Piyasena with the supervision of Managing Director Shantha Horawalawithana.
