Matuwagalla Tea Factory establishes equal all-time record price

Matuwagalla Tea Factory situated in Kiriella achieved an equal all-time record price at the weekly tea auction held on 23 and 24 August by securing an attractive price of Rs. 2,050 per kg for the BOP1A grade in the Low Grown category.

The Factory is managed by Saman Upasena and the Factory Manager is Mahesh Nanayakkara.

This tea was marketed by Ceylon Tea Brokers PLC and was sold to M/S. Mabroc Teas Ltd.
