The Kiruwanaganga Tea Factory situated in Deniyaya established an ‘all time record price’ of

Rs. 1550 for a BOPF SP grade in the Low Grown category at this week’s tea auctions for the second consecutive week, surpassing its own record.

Kiruwanaganga Estate is managed by Talawakelle Tea Estates PLC. The sale was conducted by Tea Broker John Keells PLC.

Rayigam Estate situated in Ingiriya, renowned for manufacturing superior Low Country teas had the distinction of obtaining an all-time record price for a BOP SP grade sold under the Imagira mark at Rs. 1500 per kg.
