Kataboola Estate shines with all-time record price

Kataboola Estate (selling mark ‘Doombagastalawa’) situated in the Nawalapitiya/Kothmale agro-climatic sub-district achieved an all-time record price of Rs. 3,400 per kg for a Western Medium FBOP grade at the weekly online tea auctions held on 11/12 July 2022.

This award-winning tea factory had the distinction of winning the Gold Award for ‘Total Excellence’ in Tea Production in the Kandy Region – awarded by the Tea Exporters Association in the year 2018. This Estate is ISO 22000:2018 certified. 

Doombagastalawa Estate is managed by Kahawatte Plantations PLC under the stewardship of Director Plantations Chaminda Gunarathna and Deputy General Manager Shaminda De Silva.
