Hingalgoda Tea Factory sets up all-time record price

 Hingalgoda Tea Factory, located in Hiniduma Galle, known for producing high-quality teas, achieved yet another all-time record price at the weekly tea auction held on 4 May by securing an attractive price of Rs. 1,720 per kg for a PD in the Dust catalogue. This line of tea was purchased by Enrich Tea and Food Export Ltd. Hingalgoda Tea Factory is managed by Tea Small Holder Factories PLC and this invoice was marketed and sold by John Keells PLC. 

Verellapatna Estate achieves all-time record price

Verellapatna Estate, located in Madulsima, known for producing high-quality Orthodox teas, achieved an all-time record by securing a price of Rs. 1,980 per kg for a FBOPF1 grade in the Uva High category at this week’s tea auction held on 3 May. This line of tea was purchased by Akbar Brothers Ltd.

Verellapatna Estate is managed by Madulsima Plantations PLC and this invoice was marketed and sold by broker John Keells PLC. 

All-time record price for Glenanore Estate

Glenanore Estate situated in Haputale and managed by Agarapatana Plantations Ltd., known for producing high-quality Orthodox teas established an all-time record price at the weekly tea auction held on 3 May. A price of Rs. 2,950 per kg was achieved for a BOP1 grade in the Uva High Category and this invoice of tea was purchased by Basilur Tea Exports Ltd. This invoice of tea was marketed and sold by John Keells PLC. 

Demodara Estate achieves all-time record price

Demodara Estate, located in Badulla renowned for producing Quality liquoring Orthodox teas achieved an all-time record price of Rs. 2,050 per kg on a BOP grade in the Uva Medium Category at this week’s tea auction held on 3 May. This line of tea was purchased by Imperial Teas Ltd.

Demodara Estate is under the purview of Hapugastenne Plantations PLC, managed by Browns Plantations. This invoice of tea was marketed and sold by John Keells PLC. 

All-time record price for Kalubowitiyana Tea Factory

Kalubowitiyana Tea Factory situated in Morawaka, established an all-time record price of Rs. 2,100 per kg on a PF1 grade in the Low Grown CTC Category at this week’s tea auction held on 3 May. This line of tea was purchased by Uniworld Teas Ltd.

Ulugedara Tea Factory sets all-time record price

Ulugedara Tea Factory located at Attampitiya, established an all-time record price of Rs. 900 per kg for a BP1 grade in the High Grown CTC category at this week’s tea auction held on 4 May. This line of tea was purchased by Bogawantalawa Tea Ceylon Ltd. Ulugedara Tea Factory is managed by Ranaya Teas Ltd and the line of tea was marketed and sold by John Keells PLC.  

All-time record price for Ceciliyan Tea Factory

Ceciliyan Tea Factory situated in Kalawana, Ratnapura, established an all-time record price at this week’s tea auction held on 3 May by securing an attractive price of Rs. 2,350 per kg on a BOPSp grade in the Low Grown Category. This invoice of tea was purchased by Akbar Brothers Ltd. Ceciliyan Tea Factory is managed by Ceciliyan Associates Ltd., and the sale was conducted by tea broker John Keells PLC.
