Gunawardana Tea Factory celebrates yet another record price

Gunawardana Tea Factory, situated in Akuressa has been successful in obtaining yet another all-time record price of Rs. 1,850 per kg on a BM grade in the Off Grade category, which was sold at the E-auction held on 13-15 June 2022 by breaking its own latest record prices of Rs. 1,700 for the same grade (sold at the auction of 12-13 May 2022).

Gunawardana Tea Factory, is renowned for manufacturing high quality, award winning teas and is well-known for achieving top prices frequently at weekly Tea Auctions. This Tea Factory is owned and managed by the Proprietor J.J. Gunawardana who is reputed in manufacturing high quality, standard ‘Ceylon Tea’ at all times. This line of tea was successfully auctioned by Mercantile Produce Brokers Ltd. and purchased by Heritage Teas Ltd.
