Gunawardana Tea Factory acquires another all-time record price

Gunawardana Tea Factory achieved an all-time record price of Rs. 1,900 per kg on a BM grade in the Off Grade category, at the e-Auction held on 5/6 July, by breaking its own latest record prices of Rs. 1,850 for the same grade (sold at the auction of 13/15 June).

Gunawardana Tea Factory situated in Akuressa, in the Matara District, is renowned for manufacturing high-quality, award-winning teas which have been more often successful to achieve a ‘Top Price’ at the weekly tea auction. This tea factory is owned and managed by the Proprietor, J.J. Gunawardana who is reputed in manufacturing high-quality, standard ‘Ceylon Tea’ at all times.  This line of tea was successfully marketed and auctioned by Mercantile Produce Brokers Ltd. and purchased by Mabroc Teas Ltd.
