Gunawardana Tea Factory achieve yet another all-time record price

Gunawardana Tea Factory, situated in Akuressa has successfully obtained yet another All-time Record price of Rs. 1,700 per kg on a BM grade in the Off Grade category, which was sold at the E-auction held on 12-13 May, by breaking its own latest record prices of Rs. 1,680 for the same grade (sold at the auction of 26-27 April.

Gunawardana Tea Factory is renowned for manufacturing high-quality, award-winning teas and is well-known for achieving top prices frequently at weekly Tea Auctions. This factory is owned and managed by the Proprietor J.J. Gunawardana who is reputed in manufacturing high quality, standard ‘Ceylon Tea’ at all times. 

This line of tea was successfully auctioned by Mercantile Produce Brokers and purchased by Ahmad Tea Ltd.
