Glenloch Estate achieves an all-time record price

Glenloch Estate achieved an all-time record price of Rs. 1,140 per kg for a Western High Grown FBOPF1 grade at the weekly tea auctions held on 14/15 March surpassing their own record of Rs. 1,080 per kg for the FBOPF1 grade achieved in the month of January.

This line of tea was sold and marketed by Forbes & Walker Tea Brokers Ltd., who exclusively markets Glenloch teas.

This estate was established in 1917 and is situated in Ramboda, in the Dimbula Agro-Climatic District. Glenloch Estate has an annual production of approximately 350,000 kg and is ISO22000:2018 and HACCP certified.

The estate/factory is owned and managed by distinguished tea producer M.T.M. Refai, whose passion for tea manufacture has alleviated its product and process to maintain the highest standards, which accounts for Glenloch teas consistently being sold at premium prices amongst the few private factories manufacturing and selling commercial quantities of orthodox leafy grades in the Western High Grown Region.

Refai, over the years, has achieved several local awards for the product quality at Glenloch Estate.
