Delmar Estate continues to excel

Delmar Estate (Halgranoya) continued to excel with yet another all-time record price of Rs. 1,000 per kg for a BOP1 grade in the Udapussellawa Region, at the weekly tea auctions held this week.

It surpassed their own record of Rs. 960 per kg for the same grade set on 5 January. This is the 8th instance in the year 2022 where Delmar Estate has achieved an all-time record price for their teas in the respective region owing to the exceptional quality and consistency they maintain in the manufacturing process.

This Rainforest Alliance certified estate is managed by Udapussellawa Plantations PLC under the stewardship of Shamil Perera, which is a part of Browns Power Holdings Ltd.

This particular line of tea was marketed by Forbes & Walker Tea Brokers Ltd.

Record price for Aislaby Estate

Aislaby Estate managed by Malwatte Valley Plantations PLC, once again established an all- time record price of Rs. 1,060 per kg for a FBOPF1 grade, in the Uva High Category at this week’s auction.

This surpasses the previous all- time record price of Rs. 1,040 per kg, for the same grade which was secured at the tea auction held on 18 January.

This line of tea was purchased by Inter Tea Ltd and was marketed and sold by John Keells PLC.

Glenanore Estate sets up all-time record price

Glenanore Estate achieved an all-time record price of Rs. 1,060 per kg for an FBOPF1 grade in the Uva High Grown region at this week’s tea auctions.

In February Glenanore Estate equalled the record for the FBOPF1 grade twice at Rs. 1,040 per kg. This particular line of tea was marketed and sold by Forbes & Walker Tea Brokers Ltd.

This Estate which was established in the year 1892 is situated in Haputale at an elevation of 1,372 metres, in the Uva agro-climatic district. Glenanore Estate is ISO 22000:2018 and HACCP certified ensuring good quality standards are met in the production process.

Glenanore Estate is managed by Agarapatana Plantations Limited under the stewardship of Senior Manager Gayan Wijesekara.
