Craig Estate achieves another all-time record price

At the recently concluded Colombo Tea Auction of 3 May, Craig Estate achieved an all-time record price of Rs. 1,980 per kg for a FBOPF 1 Grade in the Uva High Grown elevation category. 

This line of tea was purchased by Malwatte Valley Plantations Plc.

Craig Estate is situated in the Bandarawela region of the Uva Province of Sri Lanka, in the Poonagalla valley perched at the southern edge of the hill country at an elevation of 4,320 feet above mean sea level. Craig Estate maintains a high standard of manufacture focused on producing good quality teas under the stewardship of the superintendent Gayan Bopitiya.

Craig Estate is ISO 22000 certified, Fair Trade, and Rain Forest Alliance Compliant and is managed by Maskeliya Plantations PLC and owned by the Richard Pieris Group of Companies. Eastern Brokers were the brokers associated with the sale of this line of tea.
