Ceciliyan out beats its own record

Ceciliyan Tea Factory continues to break their own all-time record price of Rs. 3,050 for a PEKOE DUST invoice at this week’s Tea Auction held on 5/6 July. This line of tea was purchased by St. Clair Teas Ltd., and was marketed by Mercantile Produce Brokers Ltd.

This factory’s previous established record price at the Sale No. 025 (28/29 June) was Rs. 2,700 and establishing Rs. 3,000 slab for a pekoe dust grade for the first time in Sri Lanka is recorded for Ceciliyan Tea Factory at the auctions held recently. 

Ceciliyan Tea Factory is situated in Kalawana region bordering the Sinharaja Rain Forest. This factory is managed by Ceciliyan Associates Ltd.
