Aislaby Estate continues to achieve all-time record prices

At the recently concluded Colombo Tea Auction of 3 May, Aislaby Estate had the proud distinction of establishing an all-time record price of Rs. 2,600 per kg., for a FBOP Grade, in the Uva High Grown elevation category. 

This surpasses the previous record price of Rs. 2,250 also established by Aislaby Estate at the Auction of 26/04/2022. This line of tea was purchased by Ahmad Tea Ltd.

On 3 May Aislaby Estate also achieved another all-time Colombo Tea Auction record price of Rs. 1,980 per kilo for a FBOPF1 grade. This line of tea was purchased by Akbar Brothers Ltd.

Aislaby Estate is situated at an elevation of 1,218 metres above mean sea level in the Uva High grown planting district. The total extent of the estate is 325 hectares with an annual production of 800,000 kilos of made tea.
