Adawatte Estate records all-time record price

Adawatte Estate, located in Lunugala achieved an all-time record price of Rs. 2,250 per kg for an OP grade in the Uva Medium category at the tea auction held on 13 September. 

Adawatte Estate is under the purview of Hapugastenne Plantations PLC, managed by Browns Plantations. This line of tea was purchased by Van Rees Ceylon Ltd., and marketed and sold by tea broker John Keells PLC.
