SLIIT commences enrolment for MSc degrees

  SLIIT the premier higher education institute in the fields of Computing, Business and Engineering in Sri Lanka has now commenced enrolment for its MSc degree programs; MSc in Information Technology, MSc in Information Management, MSc in Information Systems, MSc in IT (Specialising in Cyber Security) and MSc in Enterprise Applications Development. Interested students are required to send in their application forms by 31 May. The selection for specific programs may include an aptitude test followed by an interview held in June 2015. Specially designed by SLIIT to provide students with advanced knowledge in Information Technology, supplemented by a range of optional subjects, the SLIIT MSc in Information Technology, currently on its 12th intake, requires students to have a BSc in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering or any other degree in a relevant field or have membership at a recognised professional institute, in a relevant field as approved by SLIIT, with relevant work experience. “We place great emphasis on the quality of our education and our graduates. The SLIIT MSc in Information Management is a program for graduates and members of professional bodies with managerial experience. Interested students should have a Bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognised University or have membership at a recognised professional institute and a minimum three year work experience at a managerial level. Focusing on high-tech innovations in the field of IT and its successful integration to business, the MSc program in Information Systems require students to have a BSc in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering or any other degree in a relevant field or have membership at a recognised professional institute, in a relevant field as approved by SLIIT, with relevant work experience. Currently on its fifth intake, the SLIIT MSc in IT (Cyber Security) provides detailed knowledge of the key concepts in data, resource protection and will help graduates make strategic decisions in the area of cyber security. A Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering or any other degree in a relevant field that is accepted by SLIIT is required for all potential students. The MSc in Enterprise Applications Development, offered by Sheffield Hallam University (SHU) UK, is designed for those aspiring to be Software Architects. The two year course will give students to draw conclusions and make forecasts based upon the diverse and changing business and technological environments and apply problem solving, design and research skills to develop successful large, complex software applications. This MSc program is geared for students who possess a first or upper second class degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology with two years experience in Software Development or a recognised degree in a relevant field with three years experience in Software Development or have membership at a recognised professional institute, in a relevant field as approved by SLIIT, with relevant work experience.
