SLIIT announces enrolment for undergraduate degree programs

Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT), commenced enrolment of students for its undergraduate programs for the June intake, in the fields of IT and Business. The closing date for applications is 7 May.
For over a decade SLIIT has maintained the best academic standards and has paved the way for students to keep their knowledge up-to-date in the fast-moving fields of Business and Information Technology, through a teaching and learning process of high credibility. The degrees offered by SLIIT are approved by the University Grants Commission under the Universities Act.
There are five fields of specialisations for those interested in pursuing the SLIIT BSc. Special Honours Degree in Information Technology; these include Information Technology, Software Engineering, Interactive Media, Information Systems and Cyber Security.
The four year BBA. Special Hons degrees in Business Management offers specialisations in Marketing Management, Accounting and Finance, Human Capital Management, Quality Management and Management Informations Systems.
“We focus on providing a blend of theory and practicals, so that SLIIT students can have a competitive advantage over others. After completing two years at SLIIT, arrangements are also in place for students to transfer to any of its high ranked overseas partner universities in the United Kingdom, Australia, United States, and Canada,” commented SLIIT President and CEO Professor Lalith Gamage.
In order to gain entrance to SLIIT’s degree programs, a candidate would need to achieve three pass grades at the local or London GCE Advanced Levels examinations in one and the same sitting. In addition, the student would need to pass the special aptitude test conducted by SLIIT. The aptitude test will take place on 17 May, at all SLIIT campuses and centres.
