MUSTANSIR Amirali, graduate of Asian International School (AIS), recently became Scholarship for USA’s (www.scholarshipsforusa.com) first student to Valparaiso University in Indiana USA (www.valpo.edu).

Valparaiso is a 150-year-old selective private university – ranking among the top five universities in the US Midwest and among the 15% of US colleges and universities featured in the annual Princeton Review.

Constantly on the lookout for intellectually rich, academically committed and passionate young leaders, Valparaiso offered an excellent scholarship for Mustansir to study engineering along with attractive credit transfers based on his AS and A-Levels.

Following its custom, Mustansir was introduced to Amal Rodrigo, Member, Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Sri Lanka (AmCham). Although the meeting was brief Amal was able to impart much wisdom based on life experiences which the young academic accepted with gratitude.

Commenting on the services provided by Scholarships for USA, Mustansir said that his own attempts of gaining admissions to a US university over many months had ended up in complete failure and when he finally reached SUSA, they were able to attract instant offers from many universities with generous financial aid.

“If not for them I would have missed this fall too,” he added.
