ANC Education is the premier international higher education conglomerate in the country, with programs from pre-school to post graduate being available to local and international students through the American, Australian and British education systems. ANC adheres to globally recognised and accepted training and learning methods with renowned lecturers both local and international conducting all programs and coursework.
With the focus of offering excellent academic paths to students, ANC has once again commenced enrolment for Monash University Foundation Year (MUFY) which will begin in January 2013 at ANC, for students who have completed their Ordinary Level examinations.
On completion of the foundation year, students are eligible for entry into first year of all Monash University degrees open to international students, including law, medicine, pharmacy, science and IT. The curriculum of MUFY encourages analytical and critical thinking while the method of continuing assessment focuses on the application of knowledge; therefore it prepares the student for the education system once they start the degree.
Furthermore, completion of MUFY is also a foundation to enter other top internationally recognised universities, due to the recognition and acceptance for courses offered at Monash University, being one of the leading campuses in the world.
“Monash University Foundation Year curriculum is specifically developed in conjunction with Monash University academics to ensure our students are well-prepared for their transition to university study. It is designed to incorporate discipline specific knowledge, skills and behaviours and also interdisciplinary knowledge related to literacy, numeracy, ICT and thinking processes/skills,” said Anne Bright, Director – Foundation Year, Monash College Ltd.
“A MUFY student will develop the skills and attributes needed to be a successful professional in the 21st century such as critical and analytical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, adaptability, initiative and most importantly, the ability to communicate! It is well and truly a foundation for life.”
For a student who is planning to start higher education in an international university, the MUFY comes as a great advantage since the course can be completed within one year and you can start while your O/Level results are pending.
Therefore, you are given a chance to graduate at an early age and save a few more years for further higher education or to start your career and gain experience. Through MUFY, students are given an opportunity to prepare for university teaching methods, styles and techniques which are very much different to the primary education system in the country. Students are also able to polish their English language skills required for university studies through the course.
The MUFY is accepted in universities from leading higher education hubs globally including Australia, USA, Canada, Malaysia, Singapore, UK and New Zealand. In Australia, MUFY is accepted in all universities as an entry level qualification. The universities in Malaysia and Singapore includes Nottingham Malaysia, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Taylors University, Curtin University Sarawak, Swinburne University, Sarawak Malaysia, East Malaysia University (UNIMAS), International Medical University, Manipal Medical College, Penang Medical College, Perak Medical College, KDU University College, SEGi University College, HELP University College, INTI University, LimKokWing University, Universiti Kuala Lumpur, Sunway University, Nilai University and Nanyang Technology University.
In the UK and New Zealand, MUFY is accepted to enter Nottingham University, University of Kent, Greenwich University, Newcastle University, University of Warwick, University of Salford, Manchester Metropolitan University, Sheffield Hallam University, University of West London, Victoria University of Wellington (NZ), Canterbury University (NZ) and Auckland University (NZ).
Whilst in the USA it is the California State University Fresno (USA) and in Canada it is Ontario University and University of British Columbia.
