Janashakthi Insurance has tied up with the Mercury Institute in order to offer a revolutionary product in the field of education. Under the terms of this unique policy, a one-off payment for tuition and exam fees will be paid from Janashakthi to the Mercury Institute.
The Mercury Institute of Management, established in 2001, is synonymous with quality tertiary tuition and is a recognised tuition provider for ACCA, CIMA, CFA and University of London degrees.
“At Janashakthi, we do a lot of work to develop Sri Lankan youth, helping them to realise their dreams. This new product aims to give every child the right to education, even if they find themselves unable to pay their fees due to tragic circumstances,” Janashakthi Insurance Sales and Operations (Life) General Manager Hashra Weerewardena said.
Mercury Managing Director Jeevith Shakespeare stated: “We aim to give the assurance to parents that once their child is enrolled at Mercury, we will do everything possible to ensure that they will be able to continue with their higher studies, despite any unforeseen events. This is indeed a unique policy and we are grateful to Janashakthi Insurance for coming up with such an innovative concept.”
