Janashakthi Insurance: Empowering children to achieve excellence at Grade 5 Scholarship Exams

Janashakthi Insurance PLC, in a continued commitment to light the lamp of knowledge across the nation, announced the second phase of its annual Grade 5 Scholarship program, ‘Shishshathwayen Wishishthathwaya’, offering free seminars at key locations island wide to children sitting for the Scholarship examination in 2016. 

Conducted for the second consecutive year, the Scholarship program will be led by renowned educationalist Bharatha Lankage who will share the essential knowledge, tools and techniques required by students who are due to sit for the Grade 5 Scholarship exam this year through a series of free seminars. In order to enable an increased number of students to benefit from the ‘Shishshathwayen Wishishthathwaya’ Scholarship program, Janashakthi Insurance has expanded it to include six seminars, scheduled to take place in Kandy (10 July), Bandarawela (17 July), Kurunegala (31 July), Gampaha (5 August), Galle (8 August) and Colombo (10 August). The first two sessions in Kandy and Bandarawela, already conducted, witnessed the participation of hundreds of students and parents who expressed a high level of interest and enthusiasm towards the program.

Uniquely, students who participate in the program and subsequently score high marks at the Grade 5 Scholarship exams will be rewarded with scholarships from Janashakthi, with the aim of providing them with the required support to further their studies for a brighter future. In addition to this, all students who attend the seminars will be awarded a Certificate of Participation in due course.

In addition to the seminars for the students, Janashakthi will be organising a special complimentary seminar for their parents, conducted by popular Personality Development Trainer Chandana Gunawardena. These seminars, which will run parallel to the main seminars for students, will be vital training sessions that will enable parents to understand the career paths available to their children, whilst guiding them on planning the ideal future.
