Ovini Amarasinghe recently became the latest student of Institute of Chemistry Ceylon to transfer to the University of Cincinnati Ohio USA on a 2+2 collaboration agreement signed in ‘08 brokered by Scholarships for USA (Pvt) Ltd the island’s only exclusive recruiter to US.

This is one of several academic links SUSA has initiated in the recent past bringing US and Sri Lankan institutes of higher education together to help more Lankan academics to further their studies in US at most affordable costs. With UC agreeing to grant 100% credit transfers and attractive scholarships many ICC students find UC an excellent university to earn a highly reputed US degree at a very affordable cost.

Each student would be able to make use of part-time work in the campus and cooperative work in the US corporate world not only augmenting their income but arming them with priceless and globally marketable work experience.

Scholarships for USA, since 2001, has been passionately committed to making US education increasingly affordable to Sri Lankans and as per their track record they have placed over 300 students from all corners of the island including Jaffna and Ampara in universities across the US from sunny Hawaii to cold North Dakota.

They are also the only entity in the island which has initiated the largest number of collaborations between US and SL academic institutes.
