Latest FT rankings make INSEAD top-ranked single school Executive MBA Programme; #4 Overall
INSEAD, the leading international business school, has been ranked number four of the 100 schools considered overall – the best ranked programme offered by a single school (the first three are all partnerships) in the Financial Times’ 2011 rankings of 100 Executive MBA programmes. This makes INSEAD’s Executive MBA programme the highest-ranked offering in Asia.
INSEAD will introduce a new Asia section to its Global EMBA programme this academic year, which will run over the course of 17 months with the majority of the coursework at the school’s Singapore campus.
INSEAD Dean Dipak C. Jain said: “As the first Western business school to build its own facility Asia, INSEAD plays a key role in nurturing a pool of leadership talent to support Singapore’s vision of becoming a global business hub. The FT rankings are testament to the culture of excellence we have built over the past 10 years to achieve this. The international aspect of the INSEAD Executive MBA programme is clearly recognised in this ranking, and further strengthens Singapore’s reputation of attracting and retaining top international talent.”
The Asia section of INSEAD’s GEMBA is designed to attract a diverse group of leaders from the region who will have the convenience of completing their EMBA in Asia with minimal time off from work. Half of the programme will be delivered in modules of three days – essentially over a weekend – so that participants are required to only spend one day away from the office at a time. With the other half of the programme, participants will also have the opportunity to spend time on INSEAD’s Fontainebleau and Abu Dhabi campuses and benefit from a more diverse EMBA class.
INSEAD’s Deputy Dean, Degree Programme and Curriculum Peter Zemsky added: “We continue to diversify the programme with a new Asian section (available from August 2012) which complements the Europe/Asia and Middle East sections. We recognise the growing demand in Asia from executives in emerging countries as well as developed Asian economies to develop their business management skills in a truly international setting. We also understand that Western executives are looking for exposure to Asian business practice and look to INSEAD for that. The design of the programme allows participants to reduce the number of days needed away from the office over the course of the Executive EMBA programme – a significant factor for many executives.’’
As one of the world’s leading and largest graduate business schools, INSEAD brings together people, cultures and ideas from around the world to change lives and to transform organisations.
