IHB students showcase their talent at graduation ceremony

The Institute of Hairdr-essers & Beauticians (IHB) in collaboration with Organisation Mondiale Coiffure (OMC), held its 2nd graduation ceremony, where 90 students including 12 overseas grandaunts in absentia received Diploma certificates issued with OMC accreditation for the 2012/2013 semesters. The graduates together with the Board of Governors of IHB and well wishers were hosted to a star-studded awards ceremony on 8 December 2013 at 5 p.m. in the Atrium Lobby of Cinnamon Grand Hotel. Special recognition was awarded to those who completed the IHB Diplomas and achieved Distinctions for practical exams. Trainers of the IHB approved Training Academies and those who completed the OMC Bronze Diploma courses, together with members of the Board of Governors who continue to work voluntarily to develop the IHB were also felicitated. Since 2011, IHB has proudly produced over the last two years, 194 graduates.  IHB’s mission is to develop future leaders in the world of hair and beauty, and once again its graduating students exemplified their drive to be leaders by demonstrating the passion and talents that abound within the industry. Gold Award recipient Jesmin Farook shares how the IHB experience has impacted her career path, “Getting the opportunity to do the IHB course under the guidance of such influential people in this industry has really meant a lot to me. It has allowed me to view this industry in a new light. The entire course of education has been amazing! All the opportunities that have been given to me have brought my education to a new level, and it has all been possible through IHB.” IHB is known for its high level of training to help achievers reach the pinnacle of hairstyling and beauty care in Sri Lanka. IHB students are groomed to be top stylists and leaders in the beauty industry.
