Hundreds of students attend CA Sri Lanka’s first-ever career fair

The first-ever career fair organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) concluded recently on a very high note with hundreds of students from all parts of the country attending the fair.
The career fair which was declared open by CA Sri Lanka President Sujeewa Rajapakse also saw the participation of several leading organisations from the country comprising the public practice and non-public practice organisations, who offered some 250 training opportunities for the benefit of strategic level students following the institute’s chartered accountancy qualification.
The institute also organized an interactive session titled ‘How to impress at your interview’ for the benefit of the students attending the career fair, which was conducted by Maheshi Premasinghe, a Toastmaster and an accredited trainer.
The participating companies at the CA Sri Lanka Career Fair included Amba Research Lanka Ltd., Blue Ocean Holding Ltd., Brandix Mercury Asia Ltd., Central Finance Company PLC, Ceylon Paper Sacks PLC, Etisalat Lanka Ltd., Goodhope Asia Business Solutions, Hemas Holdings PLC, John Keells Holdings, Linea Aqua Ltd., Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka PLC, National Development Bank PLC, People’s Leasing & Finance PLC, The Capital Maharaja Organization Ltd., Vijani Apparels Ltd., Aiyar& Co, BDO Partners, B R De Silva & Co, Dias Associates, Ernst & Young, Gajma & Co, Harshitha Bandara & Co, Jawaamil Associates, KAL Rupasinghe & Co, KPMG, Nihal Hettiarachchi & Co, Pathmaperuma Muthugala& Co and SJMS Associates.
