In its continuous efforts to improve customer experience, the British Council in Sri Lanka has recently launched online payments for IELTS. Candidates can now register and pay online from anywhere in the world, following a few easy steps.
Previously IELTS candidates had to either visit the British Council to complete the registration process, or register online and use one of the alternative payment methods. Now however, the process can be completed far more conveniently by simply accessing www.britishcouncil.lk/exam/ielts
“I am delighted that candidates can now register and pay online. This makes things easier for our candidates and fits with our commitment to support test takers in numerous ways,” Country Exams Manager Harriet Gardner said.
A candidate registering at the British Council is already eligible for a free practice workbook, a reference membership, access to IELTS Top tips seminar and a 30-hour online preparation course. IELTS is the world’s most popular English language test for higher education and global migration. It is recognised by over 9,000 organisations in over 135 countries including the USA.
IELTS is owned by the British Council, IDP; IELTS Australia and Cambridge English Language Assessment. The British Council administers the test in Colombo, Kandy, Jaffna, Matara and Batticaloa
The British Council has been working in Sri Lanka since 1949, offering a wide range of services and activities across the island, and engages people through its work in the areas of English, the Arts, Education and Society. For further details please visit www.britishcouncil.lk.
