Skills development and professional education are key factors that drive the adoption of technology in a more effective and meaningful manner in any knowledge based economy, thus fuelling growth and sustainability,” Aitken Spence Group Ltd. Director Dinesh Mendis said.

“We felt a strong need to fulfil the vacuum that exists in the Sri Lankan ICT industry of Oracle Certified Professionals, as well as an effective mechanism to replenish the Oracle qualified professionals being lost to the country, due to various forms of migration. This is where we took it upon ourselves to engage with Oracle University, resulting in Aitken Spence Technologies being appointed as an Oracle University approved partner for both re-selling and delivery,” he added. The company will have its own fully equipped modern training facilities, along with Oracle University Accredited training staff, who are drawn from the local industry, and is expected to launch Oracle courses, commencing in March/April, 2012.
