EDEX Mid-Year Expo continues to lead and offer the youth exacting solutions in educational and career aspirations. The fifth annual Mid-Year Expo and Job Fair will be on again at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre (SLECC) on 2 and 3 September.

EDEX Mid-Year Expo has since its inception, witnessed larger gatherings of youth and visitors over the years, recording an exponential growth. Last year’s expo was rated as the best ever in the series, and this year the organisers plan to emulate this achievement.

The exhibition is set to feature over150 stalls, with 100 universities, both local and foreign, featuring over 20 countries. This large participation augurs well for youth from all walks of life in search of excellence. Students visiting the Mid-Year Expo can avail themselves of scholarship offers, full and partial, discounted course fees, placements offered and spot admissions to various disciplines.

The Expo will cover the whole spectrum of school-to-work transition. The Psychometric testing, interactive seminars, and short meetings with professionals will be free of charge. EDEX Job Fair will focus on two national HR issues, under-employment and unemployment. The Job Fair will be a catalyst and ensures the meeting of employers and youth, giving them a much-needed opportunity not only market their inherent talent, skills and qualifications, but also to network with like-minded skilled individuals.

This year’s Mid-Year Expo will witness NIBM and NSBM as Platinum Category sponsors; Colombo Institute of Research and Psychology, (CIRP) Human Resource Management Institute, (HRMI) Mercury/ACCA as Diamond Category sponsors, and UCL, CINEC and Leap Foundation as Gold sponsors. Lake House/Observer Jobs continues its Print Media Partnership whilst Sri Lanka Rupavahini (TV) Corporation has come on board as the Electronic Media Partner.
