These students were rewarded by the AAT Sri Lanka at a special felicitation ceremony held at the AAT Centre on 12 January in collaboration with the kind assistance of the Ministry of Education, Sri Lanka. This year, 53 ranks among the top 100 ranks in the island from the commerce stream have been secured by AAT students and 12 district firsts have also been reported from the districts of Kurunegala, Anuradhapura, Galle, Gampaha, Kalutara, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Moneragala, Matale, Polonnaruwa, Puttlam and Mulativu.
“AAT Sri Lanka has always produced top performers at the A/L examination as a trend,” explained AAT Sri Lanka CEO Tishanga Kumarasingha. “We are happy because we as an organisation could lend a helping hand for these students to excel in their academic and professional life as well,” he added.
The Secretary to the Ministry of Education Sunil Hettiarachchi attended the occasion as the Chief Guest and Examinations Commissioner General Sanath Poojitha attended as the Guest of Honour. This year, marking a remarkable milestone in the history of AAT Sri Lanka, six ranks among the top 10 in the island have been obtained by the AAT students, and at a special interview carried out with them, it was expressed that their decision to start AAT right after their Ordinary Level and to complete the entire AAT course even before sitting for the Advanced Level examination have helped them so immensely to perform well at the Advanced Level with full self-confidence.
They also noted that the subject scopes covered at school always revised the subject matter learnt at the AAT, and that was helpful for them to know their weak points and brush up them to face the competitive exams successfully.
AAT Sri Lanka also reminded that students who finished the Ordinary Level examinations in 2017 can start their winning path way with AAT Sri Lanka from January 2018 onwards aiming the next immediate AAT exam in July 2018, and that any student, if the right dedication is made, possess this potential of topping the island ranks at Advanced Levels in the same manner achieving their goals in life.
