The Independence Square is famous for health conscious city folks and President Mahinda Rajapaksa and his Secretary Lalith Weeratunge certainly haven’t joined the crowd but were seen during their surprise visit yesterday to inspect the ongoing renovations.

The visit also came hot on the heels of the announcement of ruling UPFA’s
