Central Environment Authority Chairman Charitha Herath and Environment Minister Anura Priyadarshana Yapa in unison point to a direction to President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the first ever National Green Awards held last night.

Bodyline (Pvt) Ltd, Sri Lankan Catering, Heritance Kandalama, Ulagalla Resort, Maga Engineering Ltd., won Gold Awards under the garment sector, waste management and recycling sector, hotel sector and private and public sector respectively while Ku/Udabadalawa Sudarshana Maha Vidyalaya in Kurunegala won the gold in the school sector.
