Sri Lanka successfully launched its first communications satellite

Sri Lanka on Tuesday successfully launched its first communications satellite from the Xichang Satellite Launch Centre in western China in partnership with a Chinese State-owned space technology firm China Great Wall Industry Corp., under a privately-owned Sri Lankan venture SupremeSAT.
