The country with the best aggregate from both matches will get the second berth of the Youth Rugby World Cup in Lisbon.
Sri Lanka only once featured in a Youth Rugby World Cup in Chile more than a decade ago. Last time when Sri Lanka hosted the Junior Asiad under Randika Alwis, the national team ended as runners-up.
On 24 September, South Korea will battle it out with Chinese Taipei at 2.30 pm. On the same day hosts Sri Lanka will engage Hong Kong at 4.30 p.m. Three days later on 27 September the final day’s proceedings will take place at the Race Course, where Sri Lanka will meet Chinese Taipei and later in the evening Hong Kong will clash with South Korea.
