The commemoration of the golden anniversary of the world’s first woman Prime Minister Sirimavo Bandaranaike was held yesterday with a ceremonious launch of the book titled “Sirimavo” at the BMICH.

Here chief guest President Mahinda Rajapaksa who entered Parliament under Sirimavo Bandaranaike’s leadership in conversation with her daughters former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga and Sunethra Bandaranaike.
