President confident Muslim countries will stand by Sri Lanka

President Mahinda Rajapaksa is confident that all Muslim countries which are well aware of the truth, will stand on behalf of Sri Lanka with one voice in the international arena.
Addressing a meeting held with the Muslim community in Galle, the President said that certain groups are trying to destroy Sri Lanka’s friendship with Muslim countries by spreading false propaganda for obtaining short term benefits.
The President also opened the renovated Kapuwatta Jumma Mosque in Weligama Saturday.
President Rajapaksa further said that certain groups have reported in Geneva that no religious freedom in Sri Lanka, but the truth will surface someday regarding religious freedom in the country.
President Rajapaksa said that all Muslim countries, which are well aware of the true situation, will stand up in support of Sri Lanka at international disputes. Senior Minister A.H.M. Fowzie, Minister Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena, Deputy Minister Faizer Mustapha, MP A.H.M. Azwer and President’s Chief of Staff Gamini Senarath also participated in the occasions.
