Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa yesterday officiated at the opening of a papadam factory in the liberated area of Vavuniya. The factory which had been abandoned during the war had been modernised by the Cheddikulam Co-operative Society. Here Minister Rajapaksa along with Industry and Commerce Minister Rishad Bathiudeen and Northern Province Governor G.A. Chandrasiri savours the first production.
