New Chief Justice visits Sri Dalda Maligawa

The Chief Justice Mohan Peiris yesterday visited the Sri Dalada Maligawa and paid his respects at the Inner Shrine room.  

He was received by the Diyawadana Nilame Proadeep Nilanga Dela with a tray of Jasmine flowers. 

Thereafter he was escorted to the Inner Shrine Room where he offered the tray of Jasmine flowers at the foot of the Golden Karanduwa to the Sacred Tooth Relic which encases the Sacred Tooth Relic.  

The Chief Justice was accompanied by his wife who also offered a tray of Jasmine flowers

On this visit he met the Mahanayake of Asgiri Venerable Udugama Sri Buddharakitha Ratnalpala Thera , who is also serving the Inner Shrine room.

Some  Attorneys of the Kandy Bar were present at the Sri Dalada Maligawa, when the Chief Justice visited the Maligawa.
