Judge further remanded, probe into goons

Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitya ordered a separate inquiry into the presence of purported supporters of Homagama Judge Sunil Abeysinghe who had been accused of accepting bribes last week. The men are identified as prominent businessmen.

The Magistrate made this order while remanding the two suspects – the Judge and his security guard, till 10 June. The unruly men, identified as prominent businessmen, threatened journalists against taking pictures of the judge when he was at the court last week.
