Promoting Sri Lanka’s ethical and organic products, Good Market was officially opened at the Diyath Uyana market stalls next to the Parliament roundabout at Waters Edge, Battaramulla yesterday.

This is the country’s first market featuring the best of all natural, healthy, and environmentally and community friendly products.

Featuring various ethical and organic products from vegetables and fruits to food items, plants, recycle products and toys for kids, Good Market is scheduled to take place every Thursday from 12 noon to 8 p.m.

Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and his wife were yesterday seen at the Good Market trying out various products and services. The initiative is supported by the Defence Ministry and is carried out by a group of voluntary supporters.
