Post-war Sri Lanka has two distinctive achievements to promote globally. One is a peaceful rich with diversity tourist destination and the other is a new phenomenon — how the country successfully defeated terrorism.

At the Institute of Hospitality Sri Lanka Branch AGM held on Tuesday an encounter of two prominent personalities in the respective accolades Defence Ministry’s Media Centre for National Security Director General Laksman Hulugalle (left) and Sri Lanka Tourism Chairman Dr. Nalaka Godahewa are seen engaged in a conversation perhaps sharing finer points. Sri Lanka next week will host a three-day international conference titled “Defeating Terrorism: The Sri Lanka Experience” in Colombo to showcase and share key insights to an estimated 3000 delegates from 42 countries.
