First the Army; now the Ministers!

With retail market prices skyrocketing, Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa and Agrarian Services Minister S. M. Chandrasena selling vegetables at discounted prices to consumers yesterday at the Agrarian Services Centre (ASC) at Deans Road, Maradana.

The move was part of Government’s effort to offer essential vegetables at concessionary prices via ASC outlets whilst in parallel the services of the Army is being used to procure and sell vegetables at lower prices - Pic by Chaminda Hittatiya
