Chief of Maldives Defence Forces calls on Defence Secretary

The Chief of the Defence Force of the Maldives National Defence Force Major General Ahmed Shiyam paid a courtesy call to Secretary Defence and Urban Development Gotabaya Rajapaksa at the Ministry yesterday.

During the meeting, a cordial discussion was held between the Secretary Defence and Major General Shiyam to further strengthen the bilateral relations and mutual cooperation between the two countries.

Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Jayanath Colombage was also present at the occasion. Mementos were exchanged as a gesture of goodwill and cooperation between the two officials.
