Captivating catamarans

A line of catamarans setting out dot the horizon as the race organised by the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau along with the Negombo Hoteliers Association kicks off at the Negombo Beach on Saturday.

The second event conducted on the ‘Visit Sri Lanka 2011’ programme by the Bureau under January’s theme of ‘Pristine Beaches,’ the race was a spectacular success, highlighting the inseparability of tourism and the sea – an integral part of Sri Lanka’s allure as well as key stakeholder the fisher folk– Pic by Kumarasiri Prasad.
