Avirate becomes first Sri Lankan clothing brand to partner with Miss Universe Sri Lanka

Avirate, Sri Lanka’s premier clothing brand, yesterday announced its partnership with Miss Universe Sri Lanka 2011.

The fashion label that was launched in June 2010 will unveil its special collection at the contest, which will feature exclusive designs for swimwear, casual wear and evening gowns at this year’s competition.

Titled ‘Avirate Miss Universe Sri Lanka 2011,’ the winner will represent Sri Lanka at the global Miss Universe contest.

The contest has already selected 12 finalists and has commenced preparations and grooming ahead of the grand finale on 11 July at the Hilton Colombo. Avirate, which is a Sanskrit word, translates to sensuality in English and has a range of clothing including everyday wear, evening wear, lingerie, shoes and accessories to compliment the modern woman.
