Upul quits Hayleys Leisure

Industry specialist Upul Gamage has stepped down as Director on the Board of Hotel Services (Ceylon) Plc, the owning company of Ceylon Continental.

This follows Gamage resigning from Hayleys Leisure Holdings Ltd as General Manager Hotel and Resort Development with effect from 20 December, 2011. He was also previously General Manager of Ceylon Continental.Prior to joining Ceylon Continental in May 2010, Gamage was the Assistant Vice President/Regional General Manager of Aitken Spence Hotel Holdings PLC. He had a 6 year stint at The Lanka Oberoi in various management positions from 1986 to 1994. After leaving the city hotels for Resort Management, he was the Assistant Manager Neptune Hotel Beruwala and General Manager Ramada Resort Kalutara.
