Turkey includes Sri Lankans for eVisa

Sri Lankan citizens have been included in the “Electronic Visa (e-Visa) Application System of Turkey” with effect from 15 December.

As a result, Sri Lankan citizens may obtain an e-Visa if they fulfill the following requirements:

1- A Sri Lankan passport holder with a currently valid Schengen/OECD member’s visa or a residence permit, (for OECD countries please checkwww.oecd.org )

2- A valid return flight ticket to Turkey,

3- Confirmed hotel reservations for the duration of the stay, and

4- Bank balance of US$ 50 per each day of the duration of the stay.

Sri Lankan citizens who fulfill the above requirements may obtain their 30-day single-entry e-Visa through www.evisa.gov.tr from 15 December onwards.

E-Visa is only valid when the purpose of travel is tourism or commerce. Other purposes, such as work and study, require regular visas issued by Embassies or Consulates.
