Starwood opens new regional office in Bangkok

Starwood Hotels and Resorts Asia Pacific recently opened a new regional office in Bangkok.

The office is located at Sathorn Square, and will oversee and support Starwood’s growth in Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia. Starwood Hotels and Resorts presently manages 23 properties in Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia, with nine additional hotels and resorts in the pipeline.

Senior Vice President of Operations Asia Pacific Lothar Pehl said, “Starwood Hotels and Resorts has a very strong belief and confidence in forward market conditions through Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia.

The expansion of our regional footprint and excellent owner relationships is testimony to the strength of our brands and key to personalization across all levels.” Of the new hotels and resorts slated to open, two of the nine will open in December and January; including W Bangkok and Vana Belle, A Luxury Collection Resort, Koh Samui.
