While the outdoor advertising and other visible promotional elements are creating awareness and interest for Sri Lanka among potential tourism and MICE tourism visitors, CIBTM enabled serious buyers to transact business with
the 15 MICE Operators who accompanied SLCB at the CIBTM.
“This is the first time we participated in the CIBTM and quite timely to take full advantage of the outcome of the Mega promotion of Sri Lanka tourism,” says SLCB GM Vipula Wanigasekera. “It is also in line with the current policy of entering new and potential markets like China which have a huge potential for Sri Lanka in the future,” he continued.
CIBTM is a focused MICE fair which allows only buyers and sellers on pre scheduled appointments. Sri Lanka’s MICE products and services were introduced effectively by SLCB, SriLankan and the Industry particularly for the incentive segment.
