Softlogic Automobiles Ltd., a subsidiary of Softlogic Holdings, has launched a medium-sized King Long coach, making it the latest addition to the King Long range of passenger transport vehicles in Sri Lanka. The coach was officially introduced to the Sri Lankan market at a glittering ceremony organised for a large gathering of current King Long customers as well as members of the Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators at the Sancharaka Udawa Exhibition at BMICH.
The all-new King Long coach’s model name is XMQ6901AY and it is a nine-metre long coach that has ample seating for 34 passengers. It is ideally suited for Sri Lanka’s fast-growing tourism industry or for local tours which requires luxury travel. The coach is powered by a 240hp Intercool Turbo engine that can easily handle the various road and climatic conditions found all over the island. Latest technological features such as projector-type front headlights, air assisted gear shifting, Eton clutch and the WABCO brake system ensure that driving this coach is both pleasurable and safe.
For the passengers, the coach comes fully-equipped with a host of luxurious features including air conditioning, reclining seats, individual A/C vent controllers and reading lamps, 2 units of 18” LED TVs with DVD player, USB charging ports and bottle cooler, among many others. In addition to this, the coach has 4.06 cubic metres of under floor space, which is enough to safely store a large quantity of luggage.
Softlogic Automobiles is offering a warranty of two years or 100,000 km together with the availability of genuine King Long spare parts. Additionally, a comprehensive preventive maintenance programme for bus servicing will be made available while all customers can utilise the services of King Long’s 24-hour island-wide roadside assistance unit in the event of any emergency.
Speaking about the introduction of the new coach, Softlogic Automobiles Head of Operations Shehan De Tissera stated, “King Long has made great strides in the Sri Lankan market since Softlogic launched the brand in 2012.With tourism booming in Sri Lanka and the opening up of all corners of the island to tourism, we felt it was time that we provided an innovative product to the market by way of a differently-sized luxury coach that can be used to take around foreign as well as local tourists. Therefore, we made the necessary steps to introduce a brand new coach at a competitive price which certainly gives value for money to our valued customers.”
